Introduction

I discovered Focusing by chance when looking at a website that was naming the similarities between Focusing and Authentic Movement.
For years I have been a practitioner in Somatic Movement, including Authentic Movement and had train in different embodiment approaches but I had never come across Focusing before. I was so curious...

Reading Gendlin was captivating and practicing Focusing gave me the opportunity to integrate something I had always wanted: an 'embodied mind' and an 'embodied voice'. I had always been so comfortable with being in my body and the feeling of experience through movement, which usually is non verbal. This was truth too with my work with my clients.

I felt that Focusing was the first literal body-mind approach I have encountered and opened up a broad and ongoing widening field of true embodied relationality not only through moving, sensing, feeling, being with but actually sharing verbally too whilst still connected and grounded to the shared feeling of experience.

During my path to become a Focusing Practitioner, under the loving guidance of Kay Hoffman and Laury Rappaport, I kept experiencing how much the practice took me to the edges of my growth and development as a human being which enriched immensely my personal and professional life

Focusing is now central in my work with clients, and I integrate it with my somatic movement education, somatic psychotherapy and eco-therapy work with individual clients and groups. It is central because it is simple, it is deep, it enlivens and it heals.

What services do I offer?

Currently, I continue my focusing studies and I am training as a Focusing Expressive Arts Teacher with the Focusing Expressive Arts Institute in California.

I also have a small private Body Psychotherapy and Focusing Oriented therapy practice and see clients in person and online.

I teach Focusing to individuals online and I am setting up a Community Wellness Focusing Expressive Arts Group in Bath for the Autumn 2020.

I run workshops in England and Spain and retreats outdoors, combining Focusing, Somatic Movement and Eco-therapeutic processes.
