Introduction

I am a BFA-recognised Focusing Practitioner. In Focusing sessions you can expect to develop trust in your felt sense of your life situations and move beyond talking about issues into somatic release.

What services do I offer?

You’ll learn to tap into the meaning held in your felt sense by accessing the body-mind imagination to open up spaces of healing. Your body may communicate to you in images and metaphors as well as sensations and emotions. These provide a rich path you can follow towards a felt resolution of the issue. These shifts happen gently as you watch and listen. Parts of yourself begin to claim your attention after all this time being pushed down. Finally these parts that have been relegated to the subconscious body realm will feel heard and you exhale a sigh of relief! Uncovering layers of yourself will create a sense of warmth and light. Over time you will gain compassion for yourself and develop a deep practice that can help you navigate life.

Focusing isn’t only a practice that can help us cope with the feelings inside – whatever they may be. It can help us direct our lives - and everything we do - from within. We all have a gut sense of the situations we’re living in but it's rare that we tune into that gut sense enough to move from that place. This is a practice to learn and keep in your tool kit that can help you understand everything in your life in an experiential way, bringing meaning back into your body.

Focusing is a practice that you can learn and take away with you because we will always find ourselves in new situations that need attention. In those times we need a practice of our own. Focusing is a skill that can be taught so that you can go to it when needed.

Focusing is a skill that can be taught so you can begin to practice some simple aspects immediately in your own life. Once you know Focusing you’ll always be able to do it – that may be with a Practitioner, a Focusing partner, alone or most often with a combination of ways of working. Focusing is a process that takes time to learn and develop. I suggest that new clients give themselves the experience of at least 5 sessions to get a hold on the skill.

I have over ten years of experience and use Focusing daily in my own life. I am part of the LGBTQI+ community and welcome all clients.

One-to-one session price £75 in person (when space is available) and £40 on Zoom. Pre-paid 5 online session block price for clients with no previous experience of Focusing £180. Please contact me regarding concessions if needed.

For group bookings please contact me.
