Cambridge In 2000 I discovered Focusing, and it has changed my life. I am enjoying finding out more and more what it is to live in a way which is respectful and accepting of all of 'me'. Showing and sharing this path of discovery with others is a joy and a delight for me. I currently work with individuals who want to learn focusing. Together we can discern what is most needed and plan a series of sessions to learn the essentials of focusing and take time with whichever issues or themes emerge as most needing attention now. My style of working emerges from a previous career as a hospice nurse in which I kept company with people living with chronic pain or other symptoms, and those close to death. I am now finding a new path as a textile artist and I am fascinated by the way that focusing can inform and deepen the creative process. I would be pleased to share these explorations with others who are engaged in creative activity. It is an extraordinary thing to discover what happens when we stop struggling, and start to listen and to dance a little with this 'something' which is making itself known. |
