Online Level 5: Applied Focusing

2nd November 2023 - 23rd November 2023

Focusing Skills Certificate Workshop/Event

Thursdays 2pm – 5pm.

Level 5: Applied Focusing

Learn more about ‘presence and partiality’ – developing your ability to be fully with whatever needs you attention, and the biases that can interfere with that. Make Focusing fully your own, and explore how you can integrate it into your life and work.

Prerequisite: Level 4 or equivalent.

The Online Focusing Skills Certificate Course comprises of 5 Levels, or modules, and leads to a Certificate in Focusing skills which is the foundation for professional training, and gives you a good grounding in the practice of Focusing and Companioning.

Each Level is 4 weekly classes of 3 hours each.
There is a break between each Level for you to practice and to integrate what you have learned.
There follows another series of 4 weekly classes, which comprise the next Level or module. There are five modules in total, so the course takes several months to complete. Focusing works best when you learn and absorb slowly, over a period of time.

The course is based on experiential learning. In each class, you will learn a specific aspect of Focusing and Listening, see a demonstration or do an exercise; and then practice what you are learning in pairs or the whole group. After the session we come back together as a group, hear how it went, any feedback and learning to share and further discussions.

Course outcomes: Learn how to Focus with a Companion.
Learn how to be a Focusing Companion.
Learn how to become present to your experience.
Develop a base for integrating Focusing into your life, for your own personal growth and development.

Prerequisite: Level 1 or equivalent

Cost: £150 for each Level. £125 early bird price if you pay at least a month before the course starts.
