More

Radical Presence Living Retreats Recovering our true nature 24th to 30th November 2019 Hidden Paradise Granada – Andalusia – Spain Radical Presence Living Retreats is part of a life experience space for awakening to our real and simple nature. This doesn’t mean acquiring something new, but rather remembering the harmony that lies within us, the pure beauty that is available, connected to one another and to nature. The vision of Radical Presence Living Retreats is to offer a spacious sense of relief and deep rest through reconnection with self, other and nature for rejuvenation through deep healing, community and renewed purpose. • Is there a sense of despair in the face of the overwhelming enormity of our global situation? • Would you like to learn how to connect with the grounded, empowered and potent aspects within you? • Are your personal issues holding you back from being balanced, free and light of heart? • What would it be like to savour the moment rather than being hostage to past or future anxieties? • Would you like your personal connections to be more satisfying, meaningful and nourishing? Alienation, paralysis and our modern-day life divorce us from our natural way of being. Preoccupation with technology, the pressures of surviving in life (overwork, finances, managing family life etc), challenging relationships, poor sleep, a lack of nutritious foods, isolation and our own traumas are some of the issues we face. On top of these issues, we may be overwhelmed with approaches to well-being and healing, and may be so paralysed or confused that we do not know what will truly benefit us; or having tried something, find that it did not offer longer term, deep and integrated change. Four Components: Marta Fabregat and Simon McKibbin are facilitating a series of retreats in Spain and Ireland with a blend of Mindfulness, Nonviolent Communication and the Focusing approach, within the context of deep relationship with nature in community. We don’t need to go beyond who we really are to reap the benefits of deep and lasting healing. Objective: Radical Presence Living Retreats are designed to foster self-discovery, an invitation to an intimate inner resting. As Gene Gendlin said from the world of Focusing ‘every part in us has it’s own innate healing mechanism.’ This element is what makes Presence, Radical. We just need to know how to support those parts in us (and others) safely and with space, learning to come into a Grounded Aware Presence (GAP) invites a full relationship with our sensing, emotional, social and spiritual bodies. In this way we come to fnd ourselves, to come truly home to ourselves without any form of fixing or manipulation, a natural and deeply satisfying process shared with others. Highlights of the Retreat Daily morning meditations. Silent walks and nature connection through earthing & forest bathing experience. Time for rest and replenishment in a very special natural setting. Guided learning and experiential teachings on Radical Presence: *Focusing *Nonviolent Communication *Mindfulness Qi Gong. Breath guided meditations. Soul Painting – Remembering our creative nature. Circle singing and dancing. 3 vegetarian meals daily & free tea and fruit throughout the day. 6 nights accommodation. The retreat is for you … If you are looking into deepening your understanding on Mindfulness, Nonviolence and self healing. If you want to awaken your creativity and spontaneous nature through individual and community exploration. If you are looking for tools and resources to sustain you in your everyday life. Feel a longing to reconnect with your true and authentic self. If you are a seeker If you are concerned about the planet and all its living beings and you are looking into reconnecting your essence to bringing more loving action in your environment and community. Personal Profiles About Simon & Marta Simon and Marta have been working together for the past 10 years offering residential retreats on Mindfulness, Nonviolent Communication and Focusing in South Co Galway, Ireland. Marta and Simon share a vision of close community, flourishing individual’s and an active engagement in the world for ‘Being the change you want to see in the world.’ This vision is in stark contrast to the alienated and fractured and unhappy sense of self and community, both local and global, that is apparent, and the consequential results on eroding planetary well-being. We believe change can happen at both ends of the spectrum; that of personal transformation and concurrent action in the world simultaneously, both augmenting and supporting each other. We also believe the deepest and most progressive way to deep and sustainable change is in the holistic relationship between our inner environment – how we connect and relate with our current emotional and spiritual edges – and our outer environment – community and nature. Marta Fabregat • MA Social & Community Mediation • Plant and Herbal Medicine Healing practice • Facilitator and co-founder at An Tionól Creative & Compassionate Living Centre Marta Fabregat, a creative activist, unschooling mother, cultivating compassion in everyday and simple living. She is a Zen Practitioner from the Ordinary Mind Tradition. Marta is co-founder with her family of the Compassionate & Creative Living Centre in South Co Galway, Ireland. She hosts and co-facilitates with Simon year long retreats on NVC and Focusing, building bridges for compassionate presence & gathering medicine in community, an ordinary approach to deep listening, slowing down to be nature. Marta is a herbal medicine healer, she grows her own herbs and plants and has a medicine practice where she accompanies a self healing process. Simon “K2” McKibbin •Cambridge University Associate & Certified Mindfulness Trainer •Certified NVC Trainer • FA Certified Focusing Teacher I have been practicing Presence related disciplines for over 30 years and am passionate about sharing this life transforming vision and I believe anyone can learn it. In order to facilitate Presence I incorporate a blend of Mindfulness, Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Gene Gendlin’s Focusing method. These approaches invite a safe connection and respectful relationship with our emotional, physical and spiritual edges for fresh forward movements from places of stuckness and challenge. New Year Focusing Retreat

This 5-day retreat brings an opportunity for rest, reflection and renewal at the year’s end after the busyness of Christmas....

More

This 5-day retreat brings an opportunity for rest, reflection and renewal at the year’s end after the busyness of Christmas. It aims to provide a safe, supportive and nourishing environment, with space to form a deeper connection with yourself, with others and with nature. The retreat is open to anyone who has some experience of 1-1 Focusing. There will time each day for: · 1-1 Focusing sessions · Input and discussion on Focusing practice · Silent group walks · Group meditation · Early morning qigong (or personal practice) · Group sharing · Free time for resting, walking, etc. The retreat will be held partly in silence, but there is also time to interact socially with the group. Extra group activities such as Dartmoor walks, dance/movement, massage, poetry sharing, etc, also tend to arise on the retreats. We will also mark the turning of the year with a ritual or celebration. The retreat is structured around a daily schedule which is provided as a framework and support, but there is no obligation or pressure to attend every session and participants are encouraged to attune to and respect their own individual process and needs, which can include spending time alone. The retreat starts with supper on the evening of the first day, and ends after lunch on the last day. We bring and cook our own food – each person generally brings ingredients for one meal (lunch or supper) for the group and gets help to cook it – this supports a sense of group bonding and grounding, as well as keeping the cost of the retreat down. The total cost of food is shared equally by everyone in the group. The venue: Bala Brook Retreat Centre is a wonderful, comfortable, spacious venue, set right next to the Bala Brook in a beautiful, quiet location near South Brent on the edge of Dartmoor (20 minutes drive from Totnes and a 2 hour drive from Bristol). See www.balabrook.org.uk for further information about the centre. Costs & bookings: There will be a maximum of 14 places available on the retreat. Accommodation is in single or double rooms, many are en-suite. The cost of the retreat is £320 (£260 concs), not including food (the food cost usually works out at around £8 per day per person). Contact Gordon for a booking form if you would like to come on a retreat. I will need to receive a completed form (by email or post) plus a deposit of £100 to reserve a place. The balance of the retreat fee is payable 4-6 weeks before the start of the retreat.
