Postgraduate Diploma/Master of Arts in Focusing and Experiential Psychotherapy University of East Anglia |

This one-year programme is designed for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who wish to extend their expertise into the area of focusing and experiential psychotherapy. It is the first training course of its kind in the UK. The first unit of the programme, leading to a Postgraduate Diploma, provides experiential training and a grounding in the theory and philosophy of focusing-oriented therapy. The second unit extends the programme with an introduction to research methods, and the completion of a dissertation, which leads to a Master's degree. |

Gendlin’s Philosophy of the Implicit A Process Model Colloquium |
Cambell Purton c.purton@uea.ac.uk This colloquium is for people – psychotherapists, focusing professionals, philosophers, students, and others – who are interested in Eugene Gendlin’s work /A Process Model, /and who would like to extend or share their knowledge and understanding of this work. Contributions are invited in the form of formal or informal presentations, seminar contributions, or the facilitation of discussions. We welcome as many presentations as possible, but also welcome those who simply wish to attend, listen and join in the discussions. It is envisaged that there may be sessions devoted to
The exact content and structure of the Colloquium will depend on the interests of the participants. We hope that the Colloquium will be a lively and fairly informal gathering. Costs have yet to be worked out, but we expect a colloquium fee of about £100, plus accommodation costs. Participants will be free to stay either on the University campus, or in accommodation in Norwich. The University of East Anglia is the major academic centre for Focusing in the UK. The UEA Centre for Counselling Studies has been involved in the compilation of an on-line Archive of Eugene Gendlin’s work, and will be one of three sites worldwide at which the Archive will be stored. The Centre runs a postgraduate Diploma in Focusing and Experiential Psychotherapy, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling which contains a significant Focusing component. Both courses can lead into a Master’s programme, and several MA dissertations in the field of Focusing have now been completed. The UEA Centre for Continuing Education also runs an Introduction to Experiential Focusing.
