This one-year programme is designed for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who wish to extend their expertise into the area of focusing and experiential psychotherapy. It is the first training course of its kind in the UK. The first unit of the programme, leading to a Postgraduate Diploma, provides experiential training and a grounding in the theory and philosophy of focusing-oriented therapy. The second unit extends the programme with an introduction to research methods, and the completion of a dissertation, which leads to a Master's degree.

Boswedden is a comfortable and beautiful retreat centre on the coast at Cape Cornwall near St Just, minutes from the sea and spectacular scenery. We meet after breakfast for a check-in and then go into pairs for plenty of time for Focusing. The afternoons are free for personal time, resting, walks, creative work and painting, or exploring the spectacular area with others or on your own. There's a chance to meet at 5pm for more Focusing before supper and an option for socialising or creative group time in the evenings. Prerequisite: Level 2
