John Threadgold London Hi, John here. I am a qualified counsellor, holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Focusing and Experiential Psychotherapy, and a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy. My core counselling model is that of Carl Rogers Person Centred Counselling. I am a certified by the Focusing Institute as a Focusing oriented psychotherapist, and a Focusing Trainer.. I am also a member of BACP, (MBACP) ACC, and am an authorised to teach CPCAB counselling courses by the Counselling Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB). When I first came across focusing I felt that I had struck gold. Focusing was a way for me to grow as a person, and be more whole, and for me more genuine or congruent, for me to be able to accept myself and others without conditions attached. For me focusing is not simply a tool but a way of life. I offer focusing oriented therapy, on an individual basis. I have counselled who have faced such issues a depression, suicidal tendencies, childhood abuse, (emotional physical and sexual), addiction, anger management, bereavement, and other issues. I have seen people, begin to feel better about themselves, and make constructive changes to their lives.

I have recently run a workshop for Off the Record Counselling Service (An Introduction to Focusing and Experiential Psychotherapy) and a course on Focusing and Spirituality for the Norwich Centre, as part of their Diploma in Spiritual accompaniment.

I can offer Taylor made ½ 1 and 2 day courses on Focusing and Experiential Psychotherapy for your organisation, be it a counselling service, college or university (fees to be negotiated please ask). CPD certificates can be provided.

I can also offer introductory courses on Focusing (for all) Focusing Oriented Psychotherapy, ( for therapists), and Focusing and Spirituality (for all.) for 5 or more participants, at a cost of £35 per person per day, where the venue is already provided.

I am currently planning to offer all of the above courses at my place, with a maximum of 6 Participants per Course; I will keep you posted on this!

I also teach individual focusing sessions on a one to one basis. Focusing oriented Life coaching now available. Cost £50 per session. First session only £30 if you mention the BFTA Website. Also Free focusing oriented Life Coaching booklet (woth £10) available if you attend your first session before January 09.
