| What is BFTA? |
BFTA is an association of people in Britain who are teaching or using Focusing in a professional context. It currently awards certificates to people who complete the BFTA Certificate in Focusing Skills course, and to students completing Practitioner and Teacher courses. It also organises an annual meeting and encourages peer support between members.

BFTA is currently issuing three qualifications:
The Practitioner and Teacher certificates are awarded by the BFTA Mentors who have years of experience of teaching Focusing, and who are free to design their own programmes and develop their own teaching styles. Practitioners and Teachers are invited to join BFTA and describe themselves as 'BFTA Recognised'.
Membership is open to Focusers with the BFTA Practitioner or Teacher certificate, or to those with roughly equivalent accreditation, which includes trainers certified with the Focusing Institute or recognised by the Institute for Biospiritual Research.
