Focusing and writing

1st October 2022 - 2nd October 2022 Zoom

Specialist Online

Almost all of us are involved with writing in one way or another, whether we think of ourselves as creative writers or not. For some, writing is easy and pleasurable, at least some of the time, while for others there may seem to be nothing but difficulties and blocks. How can we relate to our writing with a gentleness and respect that allows it to flow, and how can we bring our creativity to whatever kind of writing we need or wish to do? This workshop will explore, in a Focusing way, both our attitudes to writing and how we engage with the writing process itself. Whether you are already writing, would like to do so or wish you didn’t have to, you may find this workshop helpful. NB You will not be expected to share any of your writing in the group unless you choose.

The workshop is for people who already have some experience of Focusing, i.e. module 1 of a Focusing Skills course or the equivalent. If you would like to book a one-to-one refresher session beforehand, you are welcome to do so.

The workshop will run from 10.00 am – 1.00 pm, with a break, on a Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October. The cost will be £75, concessionary rate £60. If you would like to attend but are unable to pay the concessionary rate, please contact me.
