Hi I'm Luke, I see Focusing as crucial in showing us how to relate with all experience and key in the individuation process of becoming oneself. I love the contact in Focusing and how real it is, it's a pleasure and a privilege to share Focusing with others which I do online and in retreat settings.

What services do I offer?

BFA Introduction to Focusing (1 weekend retreat or 6 x 2hr online sessions)
BFA Focusing Skills course (Weekend retreats and online)
1-1 Sessions

I prefer to teach in small, cosy groups with lots of time and space, online & in retreat settings where possible. I include extra mentorship within the cost of my packages and offer the opportunity to deepen one's practice where we partner up within a weekly online practice group.

I see the regularity of practicing Focusing with another as important in bringing Focusing into one's daily life and encourage students to do this as soon as possible. I include somatic awareness practices in increasing amounts throughout the trainings, to help us engage more fully with what the body knows and put us in touch with our own resourcefulness.

It'd be great to have you along. Please check out my website.

My background in Focusing

I began Focusing 5 years ago and haven't looked back. At that point I'd had 25 years of meditation practice and was mainly teaching people to engage with their embodied experience by simply allowing and being mildly curious, without getting 'caught up' with the contents of their experience.

I heard a meditation practice recording by Reggie Ray that was inspired by Focusing that was radically different, where I actually had the opportunity to really listen to what my body was saying and engage with it. This was also applied to my dreams. I found this game changing and I decided to embark on an Introduction to Focusing course with Suzi Mackenzie.

A practitioner course with Kay Hofmann followed soon after and I am now training with Peter Gill and teaching groups. I'm very much into freshly allowing the body to find it's natural way to greater wholeness via movement, sound & gesture in an unlearnt way!

In my Enlightenment Intensive work I've come to realise the value of the dyad partnership in both the the EI & Focusing and now recommend Focusing to people as a follow up practice, to help integrate what they've found on an EI into their daily life and live more truthfully.
