Introduction

I am a BACP registered Integrative Psychotherapist, a Focusing- Oriented Psychotherapist and a Focusing Trainer. I have a small private practice in Northern Ireland and work with both adults and children.

What services do I offer?

Focusing-Oriented Therapy working with:
Trauma, PTSD, addiction, domestic abuse, anger management, sexual abuse, spiritual abuse, bullying, grief, shame, spirituality, systemic oppression, parenting, chronic illness, pain management, health issues and menopause.

One to One Focusing Sessions - this can be as either a companion or Focusing teacher

My background in Focusing

Throughout my years working with male survivors of domestic abuse, childhood trauma and toxic shame, I have integrated various aspects of Focusing allowing me to create a safe, supportive space for the client’s own felt experience and inner resources to be explored.

My work combines aspects of: art therapy, play therapy, inner critic / inner child work, biospirituality, wholebody focusing and relational wholebody focusing, transactional analysis, attachment theory, existential therapy and systems therapy.

Focusing first found me in 2014 when I was struggling to process grief. It allowed me and my grief space to breathe together, something I had never previously experienced. And as I continue to learn about this process, it continues to provide that space to breathe with what is painful and uncomfortable while also bringing flow to previously frozen pockets of life energy - both for myself and those I work with.

I love what I do, the people I have the privilege to work with and the gift that is Focusing.

Qualifications

Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy - FDSc, BA Hons, PG Dip

Certified Focusing Oriented Psychotherapist and Focusing Trainer with The International Focusing Institute, New York (TIFI)
