Introduction
Hello, I'm Ella. I've been Focusing for almost 10 years, and since I first learnt how to connect to the knowing in my body, it has been one of the most profound practices in my life. Sharing it with others is a true pleasure for me.
What services do I offer?
Focusing Skills Courses - learning Focusing in a small group of 6-8, over 40 hours. On Zoom or in person.
1:1 Sessions - to learn Focusing, or for me to hold the space for you to explore your unfolding felt-experience.
Workshops - one off, or an agreed number.
My background in Focusing
I came to Focusing after being part of a Mindfulness community at University. Upon leaving, I asked my teacher what she would recommend, as I wasn't ready to stop exploring that world. She put me in touch with my teacher Kay, and I completed the Focusing Skills Course in 2018, where I learnt both the simplicity and the power of coming home to my own body and listening to the wisdom there, rather than trying to think my way through life. From there, the Focusing community has felt like my chosen family. I have attended courses and retreats on Children Focusing, focusing and dreams, Gendlin's philosophy, inner relationship focusing, wholebody focusing, and focusing community camps as both a participant and organiser. Focusing is one of the first things I turn to when I am struggling with how I'm feeling, or a big decision. I also love how it helps me connect to my true creativity, nature, and find the alive direction in my life. Now, sharing Focusing with others feels deeply enjoyable and life-giving for me.

Education Mental Health Practitioner (Diploma)
Degree in Psychological and Behavioural Science (MA)
