My background in Focusing

I came to Focusing during a time when I was looking for something more honest, more compassionate, and more deeply attuned to what was going on inside. Focusing offered me a way to listen inwardly with real kindness – and to discover that even the most tangled or confusing places carry a kind of wisdom when we turn toward them gently.

I now offer Focusing sessions to others, creating a space that feels safe, warm, and unhurried – a space where you can land, breathe, and begin to hear what’s quietly waiting beneath the surface. I hold each session with deep respect for your inner process and your pace. Nothing is pushed. Everything is welcome.

My background includes social work, education, coaching, transformative life writing, and body-based therapies, and I weave this experience into my Focusing work in a grounded, integrative way. I'm especially drawn to working with people who feel burnt out, soul-tired, or at a crossroads — those moments when something inside is asking for attention, but we may not yet have words for it.

I offer sessions online and in person. If you feel a pull toward this kind of gentle inner listening, I’d love to hear from you.

My practice has been deeply influenced by some inspirational teachers to whom I owe a huge debt of gratitude: Peter Gill, Kay Hoffman, Akira Ikemi, and Ann Weiser Cornell.

Supporting mentor

As a Supporting Mentor, I see my role as gently holding space for your growth – both as a practitioner-in-training and as a person. I’m here to walk alongside you as you deepen your felt sense of Focusing, develop confidence in your own style, and navigate the joys and challenges of this rich and relational path. I aim to offer a mentoring relationship that is spacious, grounded, and encouraging – where you feel safe to be yourself, to ask questions, to explore what’s alive in your process, and to honour your own pace. I believe in learning that unfolds organically, with curiosity and self-trust at its core, and I bring warmth, presence, and care to our time together.
