Introduction

As an online Counsellor and Focusing Practitioner, I have retained strong personal and professional connections in the UK even after I have moved back to Hungary. Focusing allowed me to create a life that suits me well and I like to support others in finding their uniquely fitting path in life too.

What services do I offer?

I offer one to one Focusing lessons, Guided Focusing sessions and Focusing Oriented Counselling sessions via online video link ( Skype or Zoom) in English or Hungarian. I am especially interested to work with highly sensitive or creative people, who are interested in using Focusing for their personal growth.

Specialities: Sensory Processing Sensitivity (also known as high sensitivity or HSP), stress, anxiety, overwhelm, work/life balance, health issues, alternative lifestyles, empowerment, childlessness, expatriates, intuition, creative blocks and burn out.

My background in Focusing

Discovering Focusing was one of those naturally occurring focusing moments for me, when I just instantly resonated with Gendlin's book about focusing, when I first came across it. As a Humanistic Counsellor, I was immediately intrigued by the seemingly 'magic' way to assist healing, inner growth and to access those hard to reach stuck places that often keep people's natural growth blocked. I was able to facilitate Focusing with some of my counselling clients fairly quickly, and was very impressed with the effectiveness of this approach. Witnessing the amazing power of Focusing transformed my view about therapy completely. I understood finally that healing happens when we can truly listen to our inner experience, and be with it in a certain way that is supportive and non-manipulative. Facilitating this became the cornerstone of my work with clients now and brought more joy and clarity to my counselling practice.

I was also eager to learn using Focusing for my own healing and personal growth. I started with Focusing workshops, then training as a Focusing Practitioner and having Focusing Oriented Therapy. Looking back, I can see that having a challenging time personally with Focusing, has made me persevere and learn a lot about habits and attitudes that can get in the way of the unfolding of our Focusing process. I also became very interested in understanding how past traumas can impact our Focusing experience. I feel that my struggles about Focusing give me useful insights when teaching others to benefit from it.

I am very keen to incorporate Focusing and Focusing attitudes not just into my work and journey of personal growth, but into my daily life and everyday encounters with others. This also means that I am interested not just in the intentional practice of using Focusing steps, but in facilitating naturally occurring focusing moments by working with people's existing natural focusing skills.

Working as an online Counsellor and Focusing Practitioner, I have retained strong personal and professional connections in the UK even after I have moved back to Hungary in 2016. Thanks to this, in 2020 I have also become the Webmaster of the British Focusing Association. I am really happy to be able to contribute in this way to this thriving community organisation, as I love what Focusing can do for all of us. Focusing allowed me to create an unusual life that suits me well and I would like to continue to support others in finding their uniquely fitting path in life too.

Testimonials

"I had already heard this famous phrase: "the answers are within me". But I didn't know how to find them, how to stop feeling miserable and how to rebuild my life accepting that I am highly sensitive. Thanks to you, I have been able to know where to look ... in my body, as if it were in the back of the closet. My true self and the answers that give me peace and satisfy me have appeared thanks to our work together. You have been extremely generous in different ways. You have given me the tools and practical guide to overcome my frustration, my despair and my social phobia. They will serve me for life. I thank you immensely for everything you have done for me."
