Sarah Hopkins

Introduction

Focusing supports me to feel confident in my own unique experiencing and navigation of life, without defaulting to authority, convention or expectation. After years feeling constricted under the weight of others' ideas of who or what I should be, Focusing frees me up to be fully myself, right now.

What services do I offer?

I offer one to one guiding and/or teaching sessions.

My background in Focusing

My route into Focusing was subtle and began long before I'd ever heard the name. I remember becoming increasingly aware of my inner process and sense of rightness whilst studying anthropology at uni. As my confidence and trust in myself grew, discovering Focusing enabled me to deepen a bodily process that had previously remained largely hidden or squashed. It was a relief to find a fit with a practice that supported my natural inclination to ask questions and explore my own way, rather than blindly follow someone else's.
A good friend once told me that no one is an expert on how to live. Focusing helps me feel confident in my own unique navigation through life, without resorting to convention, doctrine or cognition alone.
