Introduction

Finding Focusing 4 years ago has definitely changed my life – both inner and outer.
Being deeply listened to and heard is such a healing experience in itself and Focusing has been a big part of my own inner journey and an intrinsic part of recovery from depression. I love sharing it with others.

What services do I offer?

I feel very passionate about the process of Focusing and how it has helped me so I love introducing people to it as well as working with those who have some experience and want to either take it deeper or work on a particular issue.
I offer one-to-one sessions in person in the Bristol area or online. I have found that there can be the same safe and compassionate connection online as well as in person.

Having taught Mindfulness and Compassion skills for the last 6 years means I can help people find that sense of grounding, presence and empathy that can be so helpful when Focusing. I have a particular interest in Inner Relationship Focusing and in the Untangling process if that is something that my client or partner resonates with. Fundamentally I feel that being the compassionate presence with someone and allowing their process to unfold is what is most important.
As I am also trained in Voice Dialogue - another way of working with parts or aspects of ourselves - I can also bring this into the session if it feels appropriate.
I am also involved in organizing and facilitating co- created Focusing Retreat Days at a Centre for Spirituality in Bristol and in helping the Focusing Community here to grow.

My background in Focusing

Focusing is a huge part of my everyday life and I have regular Focusing partnerships.
Over the last 4 years since I started, I have attended many Focusing retreats and camps as well as regular monthly meetings here in Bristol.
My Focusing deepened through attending a year long Untangling Course with Ann Weiser Cornell and Barbara McGavin. This has given me many more tools for working with parts and with trauma. I also loved their Treasure Maps retreat in Ireland in 2019.
In my personal life I find Focusing so helpful in deepening relationships and in dealing with conflicts.
