London Focusing is a community of teachers, students and fellow Focusers who are dedicated to making the practice and philosophy of Focusing available to professionals and the general public. Every few years we offer a new intake into this training. We are pleased to announce that London Focusing are offering the 2-year Post-Graduate Focusing Oriented Therapy (FOT) Course, beginning in February 2027.
The course is open to all kinds of practitioners who want to integrate or deepen Focusing into their work with others. Along with psychotherapists (of all different modalities), we have had counsellors, coaches, physiotherapists, mindfulness practitioners, body workers, teachers and youth workers participate on the course over the years. Successful completion of this programme (12 weekend workshops plus reading, regular Focusing partnership practice, 12 supervision sessions, and a final group project) qualifies the student to become certified with The International Focusing Institute as a ‘Focusing Professional’ (non-therapists) or a ‘Focusing Oriented Therapist’ (registered therapists).
