Gentle Guide to Mindfulness Meditation

29th June 2022 - 20th July 2022 Online

Introductory online

The practice of mindful meditation lies at the heart of mindfulness – and Focusing lies at the heart of meditation. The Gentle Guide to Mindfulness Meditation is a 4-week course is an ideal way to approach meditation for the first time, or to re-fresh and embed your practice. It’s particularly useful if you find your mind ‘too busy’ to meditate, or you feel that you often fail. We explore how to ‘meditate as you can, not as you can’t’ – finding flexible and creative approaches, so that your meditation becomes precious and enjoyable ‘time for you’. You are also invited to read Elizabeth’s book alongside the course, ‘Journeys to the Deep: A Gentle Guide to Mindfulness Meditation’. The first week explores your own natural tendencies and inspirations (based on the Preface). Week two adds creativity to meditation (Chapter 1). Week three looks at two essential ingredients of meditation, ‘Curiosity and Enjoyment’ (Chapter 2). And the final week delves into the subtlety of ‘Listening Within’ (Chapter 3).

A participant writes:

“I loved the course. It came at a time in my life when I’ve been under so much stress and sadness and you showed me how to make space for myself in the most discrete and helpful ways. In four short weeks,  I realized so much about how my mind and body work.  Thank you.”  George
