Module 2 Focusing partnerships – Developing your Listening Skills
In this 2ndLevel of the BFA Skills Certification we turn towards deepening our Listening Skills.

Prerequisite: BFA Level 1 Certification or equivalent
We built the foundation of Focusing during Level 1
When we begin our journey as a companion in our Focusing partnerships, questions arise like:
Am I doing this right?
How do I pace this?
Reflecting too much/not enough?
Getting in the way?
Ann Weiser Cornell (1996) says “ you may discover that you are out of practice as a listener. You’ll almost certainly find that listening will be very rewarding to you.”
During this training we will discuss what it means to be a ‘good’ listener as a Focusing Partner
We’ll practice group and partner exercises in Listening
Most of all we will practice and continue to learn by our experience of Focusing
Paula brings elements of Non Violent Communication (NVC) into this module.

Ann goes on to say “Listening to another person who is Focusing is the most meditative thing I can do”
By the end of this module, you’ll feel more confident in being a companion and have deepened your own Focusing practice.
Location: Will be in Central Leek, ST13, UK
Accomodation: This course is non-residential, there are B&B’s nearby also YHA Hartington or https://www.roachesbunkhouse.com
Food – lunch is not provided, however there are cafes & shops nearby & a kitchen to warm, store food
Fee: A deposit can be paid to secure your place up to 18 September after that full payment required.

Minimum numbers: There will be a minimum of 4 participants to run this course
